Red Mica
A vibrant crystal with a long history of use in temple carvings and ancient art. Red mica has a delightful colour range encompassing pale pinks, orange tones and deep crimson. The crystals reflect light in a speckled pattern, giving subtle but attractive sparkle. Mica has a long history of decorative and practical use, dating back white mica being used as a pigment for cave painting. Its varied colours and shine have made it prized the world over. The Aztecs used layers of mica in sun temples found near Mexico City, mined nearly 30cm thick. Featured Birth Stones
