Selenite is a variety of gypsum and is also known as Satin Spar due to its thin, straight crystal fibres. Selenite is usually clear but can also be found in vibrant orange varieties.

This crystal has a very high vibration that is also very calming. This makes selenite excellent for clarity, understanding and concentration. Because of its straight, focused crystal structure, selenite has a very directional energy that can be used for protection grids, clearing rooms of unwanted energy and cleansing other crystals. Selenite can also be used to dissolve energy blocks and detach entities.

To cleanse healing crystals and crystal jewellery, simply lay them a selenite crystal and leave over night. You can also recharge crystals by using a selenite spear to direct energy into them. Selenite itself rarely needs to be cleansed.

Selenite is actually water-soluble, so do not wash it with water or leave outside.
