Goniatite Fossil Extra Large

This striking goniatite fossil comes from Morocco and is 225 - 345 million years old. The near-perfect fossilisation has preserved the zig zag pattern characteristic of goniatites beautifully.

A marine animal, goniatites lived coiled in their shells, swimming freely in oceans around the world. Their distinctive shells reveal wonderful spiralling shapes and subtle colouring that look great displayed alone or with other fossils.

This fine goniatite fossil makes a marvellous gift, as an ornament, a focal point or a great way to introduce children to the wonder of natural history.
