Rutilated Quartz Point

Rutilated quartz is produced when strands of rutile - titanium ore - spontaneously form inside clear or smoky quartz. The rutile seen in this quartz point has an almost golden tone that makes for a beautifully warm crystal. This point is the result of the natural crystal formation of quartz - in six-sided straight crystals that can be cut and gently polished to reveal their structure.
