Cavansite is a most unusual and attractive mineral. It forms as beautiful deep-turquoise radiating crystal groups, usually sitting on a bed of clear Stilbite crystals within a contrasting matrix of brown Heulandite.
These tumblestones originate from Wagholi, Pune District, Marahashtra, India. Due to the soft and delicate nature of Cavansite, and its tendancy to form in small vugs or pockets, these tumblestones have to be carefully shaped and then hand-polished individually.
