As with other salt minerals, trona is highly cleansing. However, compared with halite (its most common cousin), it is more subtle and soothing. Trona works from within, so rather than cleansing the entire body and energy field all at once, it places special emphasis on the Solar Plexus and Third Eye (chakras that are intimately linked, both energetically and through their complementary colours). Trona first releases old anger and fear from the Solar Plexus, before concentrating on the Third Eye, preparing it for opening to psychic and spiritual development. Once the Third Eye is clear and balanced with the Solar Plexus, trona then works on the remaining chakras to open, clear, and balance throughout. The process may continue long after the crystal is no longer in contact with the user. Trona aligns with the Small Intestine Meridian in TCM (although not through colour) and can be used to treat headache and stiff neck.
