Smoky Quartz ClusterSmoky quartz or Smokey quartz is a brown to black variety of quartz caused through the natural (or artificial) irradiation of aluminium-containing rock crystal. A very dark brown to black opaque variety is known as morion.
Smoky Quartz acts as a very grounding and protective stone. It is said to be an excellent pain killer, especially for back problems, as it also strengthens the spine.
