Our Mookaite Egyptian pendulum has a wonderful rich purple colour and a classic 'pendule de thoth' shape. Mookaite is a healing stone also believed to encourage interest in new experiences. It is said to encourage and balance a thirst for adventure with a sense of inner calm, which maintains a balance between the external and internal worlds.
Egyptian pendulums are based on the design of the Ancient Egyptian 'ouadj' amulet, which was often tucked into the bandages of Egyptian mummies. It was apparently used to protect and guide the dead in the next world. Egyptian pendulums can be used in the same way as other pendulums but they are believed to have additional abilities, such as taking on the waveform of something else e.g. an intention, colour or herb.
Our Egyptian pendulums are expertly carved in the traditional shape. They have a nice weight to them and a chunky rounded shape. Each one comes on a 25cm silver chain, as shown.
