Origin of Name & Mythology: From arabic (in turn of Persian "azargun") "zar", gold, plus "gun", coloured, referring to one of the many colours that the mineral may display.
Zircon allows us to be detached from the more material and earthly sides of life, and to experience the true Meaning of Life. It helps us recover from loss and is good for bereavement. It has a pain-alleviating effect, and is purported to be particularly effective in menstrual complaints. It should not be worn for long periods except in cases of pain relief.
