Crinoids had the appearance of marine sea-lilies and had feather like arms that caught food floating though the water. They had stems that rooted them to the sea floor, these stems had a staked disc like look and this is evident in this particular fossil.
Thought to be up to 600 million years old these crinoid fossils are from the Palaeozoic to Cenozoic era and were found in the USA. They will make a wonderful inexpensive gift for those interested in natural history, marine creatures or fossil collecting. Fossils are a great way to keep in touch with our planets past history and the creatures that roamed it.
Each bag will contain appoximately 20g of Crinoid Stems in mixed sizes. The pictures shows an example of 20g of stems. Each piece is unique and they vary slightly in size and shape.
