Hematite Mineral Specimen (Morocco) ~53mm

From the Irhoud Mine, Safi Province, Morocco, this Hematite  mineral specimen exhibits the characteristic rounded 'reniform' crystal structure which gave rise to Hematite's ancient name 'Kidney Ore'. The colour is dark grey to black, often with a quite lustrous appearance.

Hematite is considered a stone of strength and is associated with the root chakra, Muladhara and grounded energy. It is said to bestow courage and protect our will to survive and succeed.
