"Originating from the Diamantina Region of Minas Gerais, Brazil, this exquisite quartz is fantastically clear with virtually no inclusions or faults, and disperses light into beautiful rainbows, almost like lead glass crystal. Unfortunately, the deposit was small and it is now mined out, although specimens are still available from some dealers.
Silver quartz shares many physical and energetic characteristics with the other well known quartzes from this area – Lemurian and Diamantina, in that it is extremely clear, and its energy friendly and joyful, so it will be happy to work with you even if you are not an exact match. Use silver quartz in meditation, especially if you wish to connect with your higher self, your guides, or the higher realms. This is particularly important at the present time, as it aids us in raising our own vibration to meet the new energies coming in. Silver quartz creates a wonderful meditation circle, both for individual and group work, as well as a powerful grid around clients in crystal healing, and if you are lucky enough to find one of the appropriate size, it makes an excellent Control Crystal (Personal Crystal).
Silver quartz appears to be self-cleansing, although it is recommended that you cleanse it anyway. As well as being a powerful tool for healing and meditation, it is also prized by collectors.
In addition, it has been found to be very successful in repairing damage to the human energy field. (Sometimes profound trauma can create an impression similar to a tear or hole in the energy field, leaving the person vulnerable to energy leakage. This usually presents as a localised “spiky” energy that can be detected 12-18” away from the body. Approaching it as if it were an open wound, first cleanse away any unwanted energy, then use a long thin silver quartz point (preferably 3-4” in length) to 'stitch' the opening in the field, away from the body in the area where you can sense it.
