Blue topaz is profoundly calming. It creates the same inner harmony as other topaz, but it is related to the element air, and aligns like a gentle breeze. It clears stagnation and encourages inner expansion, especially around the areas of the upper chest and lungs, so can be helpful in the treatment of asthma. Being blue, it aligns with the Throat Chakra, but only touches it gently, so might be valuable in the treatment of thyroid disorders. I have used it in conjunction with blue baryte to clear sadness and strengthen the will in a client in the early stages of grief, and the same combination has also been effective in the treatment of acid reflux.
