A splendid miniature of deep blue Azurite from the famous Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia.
This specimen was one of a small batch recovered in 2002 during an unsuccessful project to re-open the mine for specimen mining. The azurite was typically in compact crystalline masses, but a few, like this example, exhibited classic lustrous crystals of the deepest blue.
Approx. 45x20x30mm.
