This rare Jianghanichthys Fish Fossil (also known as Black Fish) is approximately 110 million years old and was excavated in China. This stunning fossil is beautifully preserved, showing the bones and even the scales of the fish.
This fossil is preserved in ancient mudstone. This material is solid and stable, but can disintegrate if it gets damp and should be kept away from water. The natural stone and intricate fossil shapes make a wonderful ornament and a great way to introduce children to natural history.
