An attractive specimen with prismatic needles of Malachite lining numerous vugs and veinlets from the famous Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia.
This specimen was one of a small batch recovered in 2002 during an unsuccessful project to re-open the mine for specimen mining. The malachite exhibited numerous habits; as clusters of prismatic needles, solid blocks with botryoidal surfaces, velvety custs and occasionally pseudomorphs after azurite.
