Origin of Name & Mythology: Hanksite was discovered in 1885, and named in honour of Henry Garber Hanks (1826-1907) for service as first state mineralogist of California. There are no traditions associated with this mineral.
Hanksite it the ultimate cleansing and purification mineral. It clears both the physical and energetic bodies, and works on every level and dimension.
Holding it in meditation, it will begin by focussing on and cleansing the chakras that are most in need, removing any blockages that are impeding flow, and activating and aligning the entire chakra system, and may also clear and balance blockages between male/female or physical/spiritual characteristics of self. It then works outwards, cleansing and clearing interdimensional aspects of the chakras and on to the subtle bodies. Once all layers are clear, it may repeat the process, working at a deeper level. The end result leaves the user feeling not only purified, but also energised and whole, with the energetic body more homogenous with the physical.
In addition, Hanksite raises our vibration, creating a “lightness of being”, and making it an excellent mineral for “rewiring” ourselves to the current energies.
