The potassium ion layers of this Biotite Mica Healing Crystal from Erongo Region, Namibia produce the perfect cleavage. Also known as black mica, Biotite was named in honour of Jean Baptist Biot a French physicist who researched the mica minerals for their optical properties.
Sometimes called the 'stone of life' Biotite has been used in diagnosing disorders associated with disorganised cellular patterns and treatment of eyes. It is said to be an excellent stone for the office, increasing systematic and methodical approaches. It is also said to increase the visions of the third-eye clearing the pathway channels from other realms.
