Please be aware that Amber is the fossilized resin from ancient forests, it will not have the consistency of a stone. The determination of authenticity of amber is extremely complicated, it depends upon many factors including age, composition, molecular cross-linking etc. and in truth can only be authenticated using expensive and specialised equipment and techniques. Therefore the best way to try to guarantee authenticity is to purchase amber from long established, local dealers who have a reputation to uphold. We do this without exception, only sourcing from four companies, one in Madagascar for Madagascan (young) amber often known as copal, one in Colombia for Colombian (young) amber (approx. 11 million years) and 2 companies from Poland who sell Baltic amber which is approximately 50 million years old. Our amber healing crystals come from one of the two Baltic suppliers.
